J.J. Watt apologizes to Deshaun Watson: "We wasted one of your years"

It has been a tough year for fans of the Houston Texans. The team lost their franchise receiver DeAndre Hopkins in a surprising trade for running back David Joh Read Update »

They need a GM and a solid coach.
DW4 is going nowhere, Franchise QB, and he had a great year. More accurate than ever!
I think JJ stays as well. The foundation is there.
They have receivers, but they need a line and running game on offense. ETN would fit.
The defense needs a coach and some players, through the draft or free agents.

They have to build from here, not a disaster, yet! Depends on the new coach.
O’Brien was in over his head, Firing him was a good move.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

yeah, because they know how to treat great QBs right? I

can't imagine the amount of whining and crying that would go on here if Watson were straddled with what Brady had to work with his last several years, all while give the Pats the hometown discount

Really classy comments and handling by both players of poor management and coaching.

Would love to see Deshaun Watson

and Trevor Lawrence on really good teams with great O line, Offensive Coordinator.

They don't even have to have great Defenses. Just want to see them given a decent chance.

DW4 signed a $150 million contract extension in 2020....I hardly consider that year a waste by anyone’s standards

craft. The same cannot be said, unfortunately for many of the spoiled millionaires in the league.

And, as cruel and cold as the business side of the NFL is, would not surprise me at all to see the Texans try to ship Watt out of town. He is in the last year of his 6 year deal in 2021, with a 17.5 million dollar salary cap hit. NFL teams are notorious for back loading these contracts, and then cutting or trading the player to avoid paying that back end premium.

Nice acknowledgement. And Houston has wasted more than 1 year.

ONE of his years? He's ran for his life the whole time he's been there. His success has been 100% DW4....because he's had no help, that's for sure.
