I can not believe the Tiger fans who are looking for an easier way into the post season. I think Clemson is now the best team in the USA...who cares what BC does next week. We will beat the brakes off of BC en-route to whatever cream puff wins the Coastal to get destroyed by Clemson in the ACCCG. Then come playoffs the Clemson Tigers will beat Bama so bad that Saban will retire.

You are very short sited.
The smart play is the have BC win and everyone else we play and the rest of the acc. Of course hope we win out, but if we were to drop a game to anyone for whatever reason it would be nice to have the resume to get in still. Don’t be a homer and think we aren’t capable of dropping a game to someone; these are college kids.

1) BC losing this weekend doesn't clinch us anything
2) BC winning or losing this weekend doesn't make it easier or harder for us to beat them... and we must do so to go to the CFP. I don't really care whether they win or lose for any other reason than, if possible, any effect it might have on us staying out of the 4 seed (again, assuming we win out and are in).

I’m not worried about not getting into the playoff. If we win, we’re in. At this point we’re jockeying for position with a few other schools and I’d like to be the highest seed possible. It’s not going to affect my life in any way if those teams lose or win, but I can hope that our resume is as strong as possible in order to be 1000% certain we hold onto the #2 spot assuming Bama wins out.
And BC losing Saturday doesn’t clinch us anything.

Or we root for them this weekend so they're higher ranked next week when we beat them and lock up the division and improve our resume in case of a stumble up. Would make more sense.

Actually not true yet. Only if we lost out after this weekend BC would win division by tiebreaker. They also would have to win out too. But it’s a moot point since we ain’t losing to them.

Wrong. BC only has one conference L. Losing this weekend would make it 2. We could lose to them and Duke and be tied. They would hold the tie breaker. We cannot lock up the division this weekend.
