I thought it was the best 4 teams to determine a clear champion?

Dec 2, 2018, 9:16 AM

If Georgia stays in and were to beat Alabama in the final, it would just establish a tie for the season Championship. Herbs logic is trying to turn the playoff into a double elimination tournament.

The logic that says Georgia deserves to be in fits equally for all the other 1 loss teams who didn’t get a chance to show how they would fare against Alabama. Therefore, those teams should get a chance before Georgia, a team that tried and failed.

PS: Herb’s logic also assumes a “mighty” SEC which has practically no out of Conference games to support that assumption.

As far as the non-SEC football world is concerned, UGa was emilinated last night...2 losses...Herbstreit is disappointing being a hack and a shill for the SEC. Oklahoma eraned to right to be in...to put UGA a #3 is a ploy to eliminate Clemson and secure an ACC champ. I think there would be a backlash if they come in less than 5. That guy is full of crap is he thinks anyone believes that is motive is to have the 4 best teams. What a crock
