I think what we call this is a moral loss.

Sep 29, 2019, 7:26 PM

Not sure if anyone has used that term before, but if there is a scenario that fits, it is this one.

We needed a scare. We needed to feel like we could lose. We needed to be challenged and to be sharpened.

The team will take this moral loss and turn it into a renewed focus and energy during the week. They will learn to respect every opponent and they will be better.

They will learn from this as if it had been a loss.

I only wish we didn't have a bye-week so that we could put that focus right into our next opponent, FSU. It seems so long until our next game.

I know the coaches will have our guys ready to go with all the lessons taken from this game.

“Clemson wasn’t that much better with Trevor Lawrence, if at all.”
