Let's say Georgia hangs 35-40 against 'Bama tomorrow. Don't you think it would confirm that the Tide defense just isn't any good this year? So, why should Georgia leap Clemson if they roll a lousy defense? Conversely, if 'Bama beats the Dawgs yet again, wouldn't it just confirm that Georgia is the same old team, never able to win the big one? I agree, Tigers should be #1 with a solid win against Tech.

Bama's defense can't tackle or stop the forward pass and UGA's offense (led by "the Hat!") is pedestrian.

sec homers would rather be appointed #1 bc, it's easier than winning that spot on the field. But if they are considered to be #1 at the beginning of the season, they feel they should be beat before another team can claim to be #1!!!
