I haven't paid for a haircut in almost a full calendar year

Jan 9, 2021, 3:28 PM

So what if I look like Lloyd Christmas cutting my own hair, I've been able to save that $20/mo to go right back into supporting my wife's kids boutique store clothing shopping addition.

your wife has a kids boutique store?

Jan 9, 2021, 4:39 PM

You’re awfully young to already be covering the losses on a spousal “dream business” just to get her to leave you alone once in a while.

No, god no, she's spending plenty on other people's stores. The instagram impulse purchases are next level.

Ohhhh, ok. See, grammatically your original

Jan 9, 2021, 4:46 PM

Post either suggested that a) your wife owned a boutique, or b) you aren’t the father of your child. I was trying to be a gentleman and assume the better of the two.

I only get 2 per year in normal years

Jan 9, 2021, 5:15 PM

I go head-bang mullet until I can't stand it no more.
Then I get a GI buzzcut. I'm good with it long or short, always have been.

I got one in August I think. I'll be due for another around Easter.

I do make rare exceptions for special events like weddings-funerals, if I gotta be a pallbearer or something.

I started cutting my hair in Lever dorm during summer school 1974. It was nice having someone else cleaning up the mess. I still have some hairs but it's thinning a bit. I still make a mess but smaller. I've learned a few tricks since then like using mirrors and backing trailers. Actually, I have probably paid for a couple of trailers with the money saved. I've never had one person in 46 years ever mention my haircut. Is that good or bad? I always tried to emulate Jim Carey's style!

I went last week, paid for my cut, and tipped all of them

Jan 9, 2021, 8:15 PM

an extra 10 bucks. They said they were down about 30% per year but grateful they weren't shut down like they were earlier last year.

Something I've often wondered about, and maybe this an "old guy"

Jan 9, 2021, 9:46 PM

opinion... why do so many younger guys shave their head? Do they really want to be bald? I get it if you have a badly receding hairline and don't have many options. But outside of Michael Jordan, Yul Brynner and maybe a couple other folks... everybody looks better with hair. They just do.
