That is a hard no - to sugar, jelly, honey, etc.

I will except butter and S&P.

I believe the rule is you don't put anything in grits that you wouldn't put on popcorn.

I thought about that, but I'm not a fan of caramel corn so the popcorn rule works for me. :)

It was oatmeal's rival when I was a kid. It taste better to me. I haven't had it in years. The whole box used to be the white little pebbles.....they were never in packets like they have it now. Sugar and butter...and you were set. Lol.
