I live in Chesterfield, S.C.and I never thought I would see

Sep 16, 2018, 8:38 PM

the things I'm seeing now due to Florence. I have seen creeks, 20-30 feet below the bridge, close the road, fields, 15 feet below the road flooded to about a foot from rising above the road and I can stand under my carport and hear the roar of a creek from a mile away. Someone walking up to my house begging for water and/or gas, who I do not know. In my 50 years, I have never seen so much water. I am fortunate to have prepared for this, well in advance and I am taking care of Myfavjr. We pray others are able to get through this. As bad as it seems to me, a lot of others are not as lucky. Prayers for all of you, Clemson Tiger fans or else. Thinking of you as a friend.

Why do dogs always race to the door when the doorbell rings? It's almost never for them.

All I heard from your drunk #### was "got anything to drink?". ;)

I would have given him some of the brown water and sent him on his way, but I am generous like that.

Seen the same two years ago with Matthew. I never would have thought Nichols would have recovered then. The Lumber river has risen 3' in the last 3 hours. After this week Nichols will be no more.

I live in Summerville and pretty much everything was shut down since Tuesday. Glad that Florence did not come farther south. All we had was some light rain and small winds. Good luck !

The downpour lasted all night and into this morning. Saw water standing in my front yard and it's flat. As dry as it has been, the ground couldn't absorb it.

the water falling upstream also, and still coming. We are still three days away from most river crests - far from over for many.

Prayers.

My first boat ride was on Thompson Creek, above the ###

Sep 16, 2018, 10:46 PM

hard to imagine that lazy creek being a roaring river, but it must be...I have not been back in over 55 years, but I am sorry to hear about the danger. Stay Safe Tiger!

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Lived there 3 1/2 years and have seen friends

Sep 16, 2018, 10:54 PM

posting videos. Just unreal, so similar to what we endured in Columbia three years ago. Ponds gone all over the place. Thompson Creek running over the bridge on 9. Several churches I know flooded. Roads out everywhere. County is going to be hard to navigate for a long time

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Stay safe- I can only imagine how I

Sep 16, 2018, 11:00 PM

would feel in that situation.
