I know we'd all like to see FSU lose tonight

but the reality is it is better for Clemson to have a strong FSU. Strength of schedule is important to voters who make the rankings. Though rankings are only a portion of bcs formula, strength of schedule ultimately counts twice. The ridiculous thing is that both sos and rankings are perception. Hence, an undefeated FSU beatdown in the valley only moves to solidify Clemson's position if we take care of business.
You don't have to cheer for the ACC, or for FSU, but it would be errant to think that the perception of the league or the teams we play is irrelevant. Ask an undefeated Auburn 10 years ago, and maybe ask Louisville at the end of this season.

...I simply want every opponent to be as highly ranked as they can be before we beat them. We've already broken one record, defeating 2 SEC top 10 teams back to back. Bring on some more.

this is a conference game. The goal is to beat them to the ACC Championship game. We must win that before we ever make it to a national championship game(which is really a stretch at this point)

If we go undefeated it won't matter strength of schedule, we'll pass Ohio State. No risk not playing for the National Championship given our schedule. On the chance we lose to FSU, if they end with 2 losses we could still pass them winning the rest.

They're also our top competition year in and out for recruits and within the conference. The better they are, the harder it will be for us to get to a 4-team championship in the future.
