Outdoor practice

Dec 28, 2017, 5:52 PM

Why are we practicing outdoors? Is Alabama also outdoor practicing? Seems like an unfair advantage? Not whining just asking? Go Tigers back to back.

After seeing the upcoming weather, I wondered why Dabo wouldn't want to be warm and dry in the dome.....But then i remembered that I'm not a great head coach lol. Hope the guys are eating their chunky soup.

Tulane is where Dabo practiced when he was playing for Bama when they won it. As the 1st seed he got to choose, and that's what he chose.

Not sure I agree with it, but you also have to consider the possibilities of spies with cameras in the Superdome. If that's the reason then I/m good with it.

Spying on Bama's practices will mean we won't have to

I'm pretty sure I read we could use the Saints indoor facility if necessary, so I think at this point it's all Dabo's plan to do what they're doing.

Dabo got first dibs on the location and
he wanted to practice at the same spot his 92 championship team practiced at when they won the natty

Lots of lore and ghosts of football past out on that Tulane

field. You don't really get that vibe from inside the Superdome. And just think how nice the dome will feel Monday night after what they've been prepping in.

I think it will be better not being so casual. Bama will be use to being there which could be a good thing for them but could be bad. It will be more special to us. I like that he didn't want to practice in the dome.

Make the practices hard so the games are easy. Our guys will be ready

I knew this type of crap would happen when ....

Dec 28, 2017, 8:04 PM

we hired an inexperienced wide receiver coach as a head coach.

Saban is playing chess and Dabo’s is playing checkers

Unless they get rained out i don’t see what the difference is between outside and inside. Isn’t the field 100 yards long indoors as well as outdoors.

Same reason swimmers practice in sweats or flannel pj's before big meets. You feel SO much better when you're not freezing/drowning/struggling to feel your feet.

The same reason he makes them practice on the Jervey Fields in the spring. The same reason he rarely goes to stadium for practice. I am sure they will get a walk thru on Sunday or Monday but he is keeping to his process and plan. On one of the VLOGs there was also a Clemson Graduate who ran the Tulane Facilities so I am sure he felt more secure and comfortable for installing.
