all were tough players. Lott wins my vote because he had part of finger amputated to play a game. Granted it was a pinkie but still. OUCH!!!!

Thought of Tatum too when I read this post & Lott was tough as nails; but do recall Lott getting trucked by a similar sized Atlanta Falcons RB William Andrews w/ about 2 yards head of steam, not the 10 yards Bo Jackson had on Bozworth

Atwater is absolutely one of my all-time favorites, especially as I was a Broncos fan. You guys have mentioned several greats. I'm also partial to John Lynch as well
