Brooks is asleep in Wendy's drive through. Someone calls the police.
Police arrive to find Brooks asleep in the drive through line.
Police administer field sobriety test.
Brooks fails.
They go to cuff him and he resists. They wrestle on the ground, Brooks throws some hay makers at the cops, they attempt to tase him.
He gets one of their tasers and starts to run off.
One officer pursues.
Brooks turns back at the office and tries to tase the officer.
Officer switches from his taser to firearm. Officer shoots.
Brooks hit, apprehended and taken to the hospital. He does not survive.
Police Chief resigns. Mayor calls for Officer to be terminated. Believes use of force not justified. GBI is investigating.

As if the police have no right whatsoever to protect themselves from criminals who are trying to do them harm, much less enforce the law. What a bunch of braindead idjits. Expecting cops to remain calm and totally rational when they are in a physical struggle with a suspect and their lives are in danger, is unrealistic and is expecting too much. We are nearing a point where no cop is going to be willing to put themselves on the line to protect you and me. Guess we'll just have to protect ourselves. Our country is coming apart at the seams, and it has little to do with cops or racism, and everything to do with insane, warped ideas being normalized.

Fighting the police should not be grounds for summary execution. They shot Brooks in the back.
If cops can't arrest people without shooting them, they shouldn't be cops.

If cops can't restrain a drunk without shooting him, they shouldn't be cops.
There is a huge difference between a threat of swinging on you vs a threat to your life.
It seems to many cops think those 2 are the same thing. If you can't fight, don't be a cop.

True, thing is the offshoot has been how only one race needs to make changes. Sadly that is far from reality and as I have said there will be hurt feelings on both sides in a real conversation.

Say they let the man drive off drunk and kills a (truly innocent Victim), or even one of your own children while driving intoxicated, the police would be blamed for that too! All drunk drivers in my opinion need to be shot in my opinion. I’ve seen way too many deaths from drunk drivers!

to shoot someone in the back that is in the act of committing a felony, in this case they will claim assaulting a police officer with a deadly weapon. I could be wrong about that though.
Anyway, not cool, at the very least get in your cruiser and do that thing where you drive by him and open your door to knock him over. I think I saw that in Beverly Hills Cop.
