Biden withdraws from next debate

Oct 8, 2020, 8:27 AM

Just like all the knuckleheads here predicted LOL just kidding it’s Trump. Probably smart move honestly, it would be a shame if he drove his poll numbers even lower by embarrassing himself again.

They can't possibly say that. The second Trump shows weakness, his fans will abandon him. He knows this, which is why he endangers his staff to take drives around the hospital, leaves the hospital early, and takes off his mask for photo shoots on the White House balcony.

The man is 100% about pretending to be big and tough, and somehow there are still people who believe the image. If they stop believing, it's over.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Well.... considering who the "moderator" is I wouldn't

Oct 8, 2020, 8:51 AM

do a virtual debate either. Reason being is that Steve Scully was an intern for Joe Biden and Ted Kennedy (sort of establishes his Democratic bona fides) and apparently has kept up with his old boss Biden for quite some time. Even spent time with old plugs at the Biden Beach Bash in 2016:

https://twitter.com/SteveScully/status/739184728641810432

and felt compelled to share some "never Trump" opinion as well:

https://twitter.com/SteveScully/status/710943428314419201

So if I were the Trump campaign - I would not trust Scully not to pass Biden the questions ahead of time where dementia Joe can just read his responses off a teleprompter - which is exactly what Biden does in these virtual settings. So no - Trump should not agree to a virtual debate and for good reason.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpgmilitary_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Complaining about the moderator is just chicken-sheet BS.

Talk about about being a creme puff.

worked directly for Donald Trump and Newt Gingrich some years ago that still attends Trump parties while posting anti-Biden articles. Give me a break...

Here is the truth, Steve Scully is conflicted and should have recused himself because the appearance of bias will hang over this debate regardless if Scully can play it straight or not. His being the moderator unnecessarily taints the process as there are plenty others that could moderate this debate with no prior connections to either candidate.

The commission said that they did not consult with the campaigns while making this decision. They said they called both campaigns after the decision was made to alert them prior to releasing it to the press.
