Oct 12, 2015, 9:46 PM

I hate "Coach" Steve Spurrier, but having lost my mother to cancer and my father to Alzheimer's, I NEVER hope to hear of retirement because of health issues.

I do not think OP was saying that he hopes he has health

Oct 12, 2015, 9:51 PM

issues, just that health issues would be the only excuse that would be acceptable.

exactly

health issues = reasonable reason to retire mid-season
no health reasons = petulant quitter and reputation ruined.

Even the coots deserve better than this. Columbia has had a pretty crappy October.

You can never trust them when they say "health reasons" anymore thanks to Urban Meyer.

That sounds good.

But he got fired. You'll see when the numbers on his 'retirement money,' are revealed. If he quits he gets nothing.

Or he was asked to retire...

Oct 12, 2015, 9:57 PM

No one retires mid-season, they are asked to leave.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

His team quit on him 1st

Oct 12, 2015, 9:58 PM

Quitting is what lamecocks do

Don't want him to have health reasons

Oct 12, 2015, 10:06 PM

but thats the only reason to quit midseason and maintain any semblance of a reputation.
