I Have a Questionj

Oct 31, 2020, 9:09 PM

When Breese sacked the BC QB in the end zone, it was ruled a fumble. Had it been ruled a non-completed pass, BC would have retained possession of the ball. There was a wild scramble for the ball and we finally recovered the ball. Did a BC player recover the ball before we did and what was the ruling? If we did, indeed, recover the ball it should have been a Tiger TD.

A side note. I don't know who the announcer was but during the entire first half he kept repeating, "BC is leading the No. One team". He seemed to be real happy for BC.

Thought it was ruled grounding which means sack and no pass

They ruled it an incomplete pass with a penalty for intentional grounding which resulted in the safety.

It was ruled an incomplete pass and intentional grounding. That's why it was a safety. Had it been a fumble we actually came up with it, so it would have been a touchdown for us.

The ruling was “intentional grounding” in the end zone which results in a safety. Apparently the QB was inside the tackle box thus the safety. I think I’m right about this.

The play by play guy was Joe Tessitore. His son plays for BC***
