I *AM* looking forward to the FSU game

Oct 28, 2015, 10:53 AM

I know, the team isn't as they are focused on NCST, but I am squarely looking forward to the FSU game, and here is why...

About a year ago I went through a pretty rough and unexpected separation and divorce. It came out of the blue and really knocked me for a loop. The last year has been a long strange year, but at every step I've been met with grace and provision. Friends, family, and faith have all been unbelievable and I have so much to be grateful for.

Anyway, that provision extended so far as God (quite unexpectedly) bringing an awesome lady into my life. I'm doing infinitely better and I get the joy of introducing her and 2 of her children to Clemson, Death valley, and college football in general at the FSU game. I get to sit beside her oldest boy who loves football but has never had anyone share that interest with him and watch him soak in what it means to be in a stadium on gameday, just as my dad did with me. I get to walk them around campus and share the beauty of Clemson with them, just as my dad did with me. I get to share something that is so dear to me (Clemson) with folks and see them discover just what is so "special in those hills", again just as my dad did with me.

Just wanted to share just how amazing and unexpected some turns in life can be.

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.
