and the UGA's NGs and ILBs?

Right now, that looks like a bad match-up. Need guys to emerge in the Spring.

Good question (at last a Tiger fan who wants to talk actual Football!)
First off, who projects to be your starting 2-deep on OL?
But you are right, Davis can be a matchup problem for a lot of teams. Our defense is similar to yours: we will have a strong DL, pretty good LBs, and some questions in the secondary. And Kirby rotates a lot of DL. Kirby's defenses aim to stop the run first and foremost.
But back to the original question, I wonder if Dabo will run more misdirection and screens and stuff to mitigate Davis.

I would like to see more size up front and nastiness.

Parks/ Bockhorst/ Rayburn/ Putnam/ Mcfadden first string

Mayes/ Tchio/ Linthicum/ Johnson/ Tucker second string

interested how quick Leigh, Tate, and Pennington will come on. I like their size but they will need to get stronger quickly. I think Tate will have the most playing time of the new three

Leigh or linthicum will be 1st string, Rayburn will be second unless he improves a bunch.

I like Rayburn's 340 pounds in the middle, just don't know how strong he will be. Tate is already working out with NFL guys so I am hoping he will be strong enough coming in to help early.

My guess is we won’t allow their very good DL time to take over the game. I feel Jeff Scott fell in love a bit too much with the 6’3” 50/50 ball type of guys and lost that quick twitch guy. Certainly I’m not comparing any of our guys to Smith but I think our game plan will be similar to Bama. A good bit of motion trying to isolate the Spectors, Stellatos, etc of our WR group in favorable matchups where DJ can get the ball out quick and allow our guys to make plays against what is UGAs perceived weakness of secondary.

Not worried at all. Kirby is always at least one or two years behind the curve. When he got to UGA he was trying to build an Alabama smash mouth pro football type team, like the Bama team we curb stomped for our last championship. By the time he realized that was becoming archaic, he had sent the QB that could run a new offense to OSU. He will always be behind Dabo a couple of years.
