We've won in pretty much all the southern and southwest states,

except New Mexico, then we have won in Indiana(ND), MA, NY, PA, CA and MD. Maybe we can count New Mexico, since we have won just across the border, in El Paso, TX!
Did I miss any?

Got spanked by them in the 77 Gator Bowl, lost to them at home in 2016, and beat them last year in the ACCCG.

When did Clemson play in El Paso? I remember playing UTEP in DV back in the 90s but don’t think we returned the game. Don’t think we’ve played in the Sun Bowl?

Ah have done a little research...

Since I am retired, and can do whatever I want, whenever I want, I took a little time and researched this on the Wickedpedia, if they are wrong, then I am wrong. But, it is not nearly as many STATES as you would think. We have beaten a lot of different state schools, but most were in bowl games in either the state of Florida, or the state of Georgia. Years that we first conquered a state are below.
1896 - South Carolina 1897 - North Carolina 1898 - Georgia 1900 - Alabama **Undefeated Season 6-0 1902 - Tennessee 1914 - Virginia 1917 - Florida 1938 - Louisiana, Kentucky 1939 - Maryland, Washington DC, Texas (Cotton Bowl, beat Boston College) 1941 - Massachusetts 1947 - Pennsylvania (Against Duquesne) 1948 - Mississippi **Undefeated Season 11-0 1979 - Indiana (Notre Dame) 1981 - No new states, but I'll take our first 12-0 National Championship! 1982 - JAPAN (Wake Forest) (Sylvannia beat Sony AGAIN!) 2001 - Idaho (Boise State, Humanitarian Bowl) 2013 - New York (Syracuse) 2016 - Arizona (Ohio State, CFP Semifinal) 14-1, 2nd National Championship vs ALABAMA. 2018 - California (1st Major 15-0 team, 3rd National Championship vs ALABAMA)
I come up with 19 states, plus Washington,DC and Japan.

In the Humanitarian Bowl in Boise, we played Louisiana Tech on Boise State's blue turf. Great bowl experience.
So this list is just states we have won games in, correct? I wonder how many states Clemson has played in -- so adding to these 19 states any other states where Clemson has played in but not won (if any)?
Okay, retiree, get on it.

and have not yet won in the state.
1963 - At Oklahoma, lost 31-14. (Near end of the Frank Howard era.) 1972 - At Oklahoma again, lost 52-3. (My freshman year, end of the Hootie Ingram era, yep, we were that bad.) 1996 - At Missouri, lost 38-24. (Tommy West era.)

Not to mention 3 states just created with Clemson's win, shock, disbelief, and denial.
