How loud that it actually get? Is there any official word?I think I saw 128 dB on the meter in the corner the end zone. Did it seem loud on TV?

ABC games for some reason it always sounds quieter. Didn't sound all that loud on TV, although you could tell the noise was having an effect on ND with the 20+ yds of penalties from the crowd noise.

when the ump switched on his mic is was pretty incredible how loud the noise was "on the field"

Something might be wrong with your tv. My wife who couldn't go, said it was loud on tv.

I agree. It sounded crazy loud to me on TV. The ND coach looked shell-shocked from the noise during his interview right after the Tigers came down the hill.

128 sounds about right. Insanely loud on TV. Probably the loudest I've heard recently

Yeah the in game meter said 128. It really had an effect on the game. I think ND was expecting a half full stadium. Good luck with that.
I have no voice today so that's always a good thing.

Herbstreit and the announcers most of the time. I remember complaining that it sounded like they were announcing the game from inside a seating section or something. In contrast, I turned the channel to Tenn game (which was close) and it sounded like a funeral compared to ours. And Neyland has the crowds.
