I understand that some of these players come from uneducated parents

But after 2/3 years of university, if you still cannot enunciate and form complete sentences you are still uneducated. Clemson players do not leave sounding that way. That is all

College isn’t elementary school

You develop your language skills at an early age. Don’t assume someone is uneducated and an idiot based on how the speak

That is untrue, you can learn how to properly form sentences through public speaking and speech classes.

But language skills improve over time and people that can’t even read and write speak better English than that. People from other countries where they don’t even speak English come to America often speaking better English than that.

I disagree. You learn skills throughout life. True, many things are learned at a young age but adapting and learning is a life long venture. Language skills, along with other skills, are learned
only if one wants to learn.

Sure Smith has a good Heisman speech. He is a gracious and humble young man.

Actually it’s worse than that. You have people that live in other parts of the world that don’t even grow up speaking English that speak better English because they learned watching TV and dream of coming to America.

Have to agree with you on that one. And unfortunately, the King's English "ain't" what it used to be in the USA.

Perfect? Who said anything about perfect? Listen to Mack Jones and the development of Travis ETN from Freshman until now.....it’s called actually being required to go to class. I’m not sure Alabama does that. This isn’t an accent I’m talking about it’s word choice. You can choose your words through education. A perfect example is a potty mouth who cares enough to decide to stop using foul language, according to you this is impossible but you are a dipstick as I have stated on a previous thread!

No one especially in the south is complaining about people not speaking perfect English. But some of these kids from some of the schools can barely speak English at all. Have you ever heard Lamar Jackson try and speak?
