Those were great teams those 76 and 81 NCAA champions. Not saying Knight was a saint but coaches were a lot tougher and players more tolerant back in those days (my college era). Glad to see this happened!

I remember when he was still doing commentary for ESPN and didn't know what the shot clock was. It was bizarre at the time but makes sense in hindsight that it was dementia.

Right wrong or indifferent he needed to go back and do that deal....it is what it is and just enjoy the moment not only for Bobby and Vitale but all the other people that were there that had skin in the game....nobody said life is pretty at any stage! Trust the people and the deal.

OLD AGE ISN’T FOR SISSIES!
I’ve had a copy for umpteen years but have decided at 78.5 yrs old to read it.
And, when I met JOE21 who’s almost 20 yrs my senior, I couldn’t believe his being so mentally sharp, youthful thinking, energetic & still planning for the future (to write his memoir soon).

Thanks for the post, Coach Knight was good for basketball. It was different times and he just had a hard time adjusting or not at all. He got a lot out of his players.
