You grew up when singers had talent. Miss the 60s-80s music. Thanks to XM I bypass this crap they're shoveling today.

have no idea who you are referring to. By the way, I'm pretty sure if you gave me a name I would have no idea who you are talking about.

It bottles the mime that there are LOTS of guys out there

like this guy making millions off rap NOTmusic, that I have not only never heard of, I have absolutely no interest in hearing. I used to say talent went out the window with Autotune. Now, there ain't even anything to tune!

Christopher Plummer did not actually do his own singing in The Sound of Music. They used "Edelweiss" as the example showing the released version and the actual recording. While Christopher Plummer sounded good, the recorded version by Bill Lee was just a notch or two above Plummer. I was disappointed as that is one of my favorite movie songs.

All that to say is that I agree, it takes almost no talent to record entertainment these days. There are a few talented singers out there who actually make music. I will get landblasted, but I was unimpressed with Eric Church singing the National Anthem.

"When I was young, I was sure of many things; now there are only two things of which I am sure: one is, that I am a miserable sinner; and the other, that Christ is an all-sufficient Saviour. He is well-taught who learns these two lessons." -John Newton
