Trump has raised $170 million since Election Day.

I wonder how much of that came from donors who thought they were contributing to his efforts in the courts.

Back when I received an email looking for donations (links to the email are below the article), the money was going 60% to a new PAC created by Trump post-election called "Save America," and 40% to the RNC. Now the ratio is 75%/25%. And no $$ actually goes to the lawsuits except a portion of any donation over $5,000. So, very few donations contribute anything, which is why $170M is sitting in the bank and not "fighting election fraud."

And how exactly is this different from say, John McCain's millions in 'war chest' money still being used to influence elections long after his death? If people want to donate to help Trump do the same (especially those who feel the election was fraudulent), so what?

If people think they're contributing to a PAC, there's no problem whatsoever with that. But look at the website: it pretends that the donations are for lawsuits challenging Biden's victory.
