Evidence continues to mount that the virus leaked out of the lab. Now we need to figure out if it was intentional or not.
Either way it’s bad.
China released the virus as a form of biological warfare
Or....
It got leaked out of the lab and China covered it up. China should be held accountable for both

if you were talking about funding research there, then yes, the US did fund research there. That is a known thing that came out last year, as your links point out.
If that's what you were talking about I can't follow why you would have worded it like "I also think some US peeps were involved, from the researchers at UNC maybe all the way up to Fauci."

there have been 0 covid deaths or even 60k. I get that deaths may get classified wrong or possibly over-reported, but I don't think that really moves the overall number appreciably.

US scientists looked at the molecular structure and determined it wasn’t made in a lab. They don’t know where it came from, but they did rule out a laboratory creation. So his motivation was to protect Chinese scientists? Ok. Doesn’t mean what he said was wrong. He’s part of a 15 person team to discover where the (natural) origin was, since they don’t know. But they can tell it was not made in a lab.
