Think about how we beat bad teams this year: with the home run ball. We didn't beat anybody by out-muscling them, we beat them by having Sammy and Bryant out-run everyone. That's winning easy, but when that's not available against good teams, we don't seem to know what to do. I put it on Morris and Dabo.

Yep. It's not just the coaches though, our program has some disadvantages.

Are you kidding? We aren't able to run a consistent offense against good lines and secondaries. We don't know what to do. When the home run ball isn't there, we're lost.

I agree but don't forget Venables. He is clueless on calling the defensive sets.

I don't think it's all him, I will say our secondary needs lots of work. They showed some improvement this year, but not enough. Our interior defense improved tremendously, but a good running QB hurt us all year.

with the obvious exception of continually ignoring the A gap and allowing the qb run. Not like we got pushed around

We stopped their running backs, but we didn't stop their run game. Just like last year.

uproar, that is the most intelligent and truthful post that I've read on this board tonight. Tiger receivers (and Tajh), over the past four years, are simply intimidated by physical play.
