So - they said "Defund the Police". Kudos to them - it worked. But now they have to get back to the reality of actually being able to protect citizens and enforce laws.

Which democrats actually supported policy that would defund the police? There were definitely a few, but it didn't seem to be a position adopted by the majority of democratic politicians. You've got to take a pretty large leap to get from a "photo of the Dem leadership kneeling with heads down - donning African garb" and these or other politicians supporting initiatives that would lead to decreases in police funding.

Portland all dipped their toes into the "Defund the Police" pool.

Admittedly, the DC Dems were careful to steer clear of "defund the police" and go more for "reform the police".

But yes - I do think the kneeling was nothing more than pandering to a specific group of voters...
