Great Myocarditis doctor Q&A on ClemsonSportsTalk

Aug 18, 2020, 10:49 AM

Didn't see this posted before - sorry if a repeat. But good Q&A with Mayo Clinic cardiologist about decisions made by some conferences as opposed to other conferences' decisions on fall sports. Worth a read if you're a sports health nerd.

That was an interesting interview. He is basically like a lot of us. It may be safe to play and it may not.

Good article. It's always nice to hear from someone who actually knows what he's talking about.

I continue to wonder what happens if you're young and get Covid. Are you compromised health wise in some way as you get older? It will be years before we know

Honestly I expect there may be some after effects of getting Covid-19. Most things you contract have some lasting effects. I expect getting the flu has some lasting effects, and I know other afflictions do like heart disease, diabetes, chicken pox, cancer, polio, meningitis, etc. Not to mention some of the lasting insect bite effects.
All I can do is get the available vaccines, take proper precautions, and live with the results.
