sounded like the fact the kid apologized to the Elon player/team was enough for him and he wanted to move on
Allen did seem contrite after the game, but he has to learn to control himself

Being sorry and contrite is reasonable for a first offense--a heat-of-the-moment mistake.
What we've seen here is simply a brat who lashes out whenever something doesn't go his way.
"Sorry" stops cutting it real quick in multiple offender situations.

a regular basis....And that Allen deserved the technical assessed last night....This particular incident (IMO) is being way overblown and this indefinite suspension is a direct result of the incessant garbage issuing from the Worldwide Leader. It wasn't a Kermit Washington punch--no one was injured. It seemed to me little more than a "hard" foul which seems to be acceptable by all the talking heads in Connecticut....Make him sit for a game after the appropriate apologies last night and move on TO THE NEXT gutwrenching, tragic controversy

someone would be hurt... and it might be him.
i agree, it's not throwing a punch, which does lead to a one game suspension
but it's not very far from it
{on a side note, i met Kermit Washington while he was an assistant coach for the NBADL team in Asheville. he came across as a really nice guy}
