2016 team rank :Opp Pts/G: 26.5 (51st of 128)
2017 team rank :Opp Pts/G: 20.7 (25th of 130)
2018 team rank :Opp Pts/G: 27.2 (69th of 130)
2019 team rank :Opp Pts/G: 26.1 (53rd of 130)
2020 team rank :Opp Pts/G: 36.7 (106th of 126)

for an average defensive ranking of 60th

Folks that aint good. The numbers were no different at Auburn
2015 Auburn 54th

Since the evolution of college football offenses in the last 5 years or so with HUNH or up tempo spread Its clear he has not adapted well in his defensive schemes.

It will be hard imo for him to find another coaching position at D1.

Considering that South Carolina is ranked 83rd (of 130) in winning percentage all time.

Being ranked 60th would be a major improvement for their program.

They would jump from peers like Ball State/Ohio in the low 80s to titans like Norther Illinois, Nevada, and Liberty.
