two of the most solid road games I recall seeing Clemson play-- ever. Really enjoy seeing a bunch of the guys hit their shots. Last night was unreal.

We finally have shooters that come come off the bench if our staters are missing shots. Hemingway to me has been the spark and the main reason you have seen this surge. Didn’t need him as much last night but the dude can flat fill it up!

Not really though. Just seems that because of the last 10 years. More of a reflection on how down the acc is this year. Before brownell tenure(except shyitt era) we would frequently dominate teams 20+ points that were ranked as low as Pitt and BC.

Were they good wins, absolutely. Not sure how you would construe what I posted as a cut towards BB. We've historically dominated teams ranked as low as they are. I merely disagreed with "best wins- ever".

I never said best wins ever. I said "two of the most solid road games I recall seeing Clemson play-- ever. We've never shot that high % on road before according to Tim and I think Pitt was one of the largest conf road victory margins. That makes them some of the most solid ever

Always?

I have been warned many times about the use of that word.... applies to death and used-to-be gravity (not so much anymore) and not much else, unless we get into discussions of Gamecock football.

Point. Poor choice of wording. I'll change it to frequently.

I seriously doubt Clemson basketball has many 20 point road ACC wins in its history.
Please let us know how Ellis, Barnes, Shyatt, and Purnell fared in this department. We already know that they didn’t beat two top 5 teams in the same season like this team has.

Clemson basketball was pretty darn good from mid 70's through Barnes exit. As for shiatt forward, can't compare because you're talking Apple's to oranges with the acc expansion. Obviously BB can win more games and tilt his record in the acc. Really a skewed stat to claim he's got more acc wins.
As for before the 70's, basketball was not the same. No chance except to win the acc. Plus no shot clock. No denying with other coaches we'd take care of business until acc comp started.
As stated above, not a knock one way or the other on BB. Just disagreed with the Pitt and BC games being a major accomplishment. What they did is what you would expect given the level of competition. Pitt and BC both were easy matchups for the team we have. Their defenses are very conducive to getting beat by 20 +/- pts. That's all.
What they did at bc and Pitt is exactly what they should g Have done at wake.

"...they didn’t beat two top 5 teams in the same season like this team has. " - Just to nitpick, this statement is a little misleading in that not that many teams actually get to play 2 top 5 teams each year. The statement is 100% correct, but excludes a lot of teams that do not even have the opportunity to play top 5 teams.
That said, I think the announcers indicated that only 3 teams have done that this year, so still very impressive as long as we ignore the bad losses.

to tell us how much tougher the ACC used to be, I would assume that we played top 5 teams with regularity back in the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
Right?!?

Pretty high level asinine comment since only 1 other coach ever had a shot at calling a Boston College game an ACC road win. In 2008 Purnell beat them by 22 and 34 in the same season. But keep patting yourself on the back.
