Unfortunately, the referees seem to "miss" all these targeting hits. The clip in this thread .. plus ... who can forget the targeting hit on Mike Williams and the targeting helicopter ride for Deshaun. I also saw the targeting hit in the Oklahoma game - again, not called.

I actually backed up the recordings and paused it right before each of these hits, and in each case, the Alabama player had his arms down and the crown of his helmet ready for impact, which means to me that there was no intent to tackle the player legally.

What is the common denominator on all of these plays? The targeting was all done by Alabama players and NONE of the plays were even flagged or called targeting.

I'm hoping that in the National Championship game a week from today, the REFEREES will have the courage to call targeting by Alabama players WHEN it happens (and, unfortunately, we all know it WILL happen.)

Hopefully the Tigers will be able to maintain their composure and not let it affect them negatively.
