They should benefit greatly from this, as they find legal ways to funnel cash to players.

Good. I hope all 50 states do it.

There is no reason why someone shouldnt be able to profit off of themselves.

There's no reason some kids need a 1200sat

Oct 23, 2019, 3:14 PM

To get in school while others only need 700.

But there is.

There is no reason I had to change majors because a visiting chemical professor gave his first test 3 days after the last day to drop. 19 0f 26 students failed. 16 were chem e majors. Life is unfair in myriad ways.

And there goes college football as we know it...kids that played 10 years ago will now be suing the NCAA bc they weren't "paid".

It's not the schools who will be paying players.***

Pretty sure that depends on which state's legislation you go by, as each are different and will lead to more confusion and an even more uneven playing field.

These laws will completely change the college sports landscape. The way they are written, wealthy donors will be able to bankroll an entire roster if they choose. Completely legal. The donors can use the players NIL if they so choose (they will own those contractual rights), but that will be an afterthought. Bidding wars for recruits with private $$$ will be common place - not exactly what these mensa candidate legislators envisioned.

Nothing the government is involved in turns out good other than lining their own pockets...

Introducing a bill is a far cry from passing a law.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Might get passed on the federal level first

That's what the NCAA would prefer.
