Thomas Austin was a smart player, and a great Clemson man. Just don't know why he never made it at the next level for very long. But having him back at Clemson working with the O Line would have to be a plus for those guys having a smart younger guy like Thomas Austin working with them.
I'm sure it would make a difference along our O Line with Robbie Caldwell's knowledge, and with the smarts, and the energy of a Thomas Austin!!!

True I always thought he would do better in the pros. I seem to recall he is a good singer too. Not sure how or why I remember that

Looking into the crystal ball may mean retirement for Robbie in the future and Dabo as usual staying 1 step ahead with Austin and Crowder coming in

Definitely this is part of Dabos plan to groom the Caldwell replacement. I think it will be a great hire and always thought he was a great OL at Clemson.

I wouldn't characterize playing 5 years in the NFL as being anything but successful Making it and staying any length of time to me is an accomplishment. I have a good friend who was a first round draft choice of the Buffalo Bills (linebacker) and he only played one year. Some guys just don't want to play any loner ...... and of course some teams don't want them to play any longer ..... it's a;; good!

Did a phenomenal job at Ga St. He is becoming a coveted young OL Coach. This is definitely a promised heir to Robbie position.

Sean Elliott hired by Spurrier as O Line coach at USC did a good job there Austin being mentored by is not bad in addition to the training from Caldwell
