GTNP - Todays Update!

Main road only open for 3 miles from the South entrance. Would have had to hike through significant snow about 3 miles each way to get to Jenny Lake. Could only see about half way up to the south peak.

Main valley snow pack at 38". Beautiful day, short of small passing light showers.

We did see Elk, Moose, a Bald Eagle and a bunch of Big Horn sheep.

1st is of the GT range. A little sun helped make for a neat (but not what I wanted) pig. 2nd is from the National Elk Refuge, where some Bighorn Sheep are grazing. Need to zoom in a bit - they were a bit far from where we were....
