My 8 yr old DAUGHTER has a gamecock teacher this year. The lady seems very nice, great teacher, and seems to have a good sense if humor. At the meet the teacher the other day, she said "my main rule is no Clemson shirts can be worn to class" (kidding of course). But my daughter gasped when she said it and looked at me in horror! I just said, well that'll be tough!
So my daughter just came in the living room and said:
"Mom, dad...here's what I'm wearing to school tomorrow". She then through in a "BA-BAM " sound effect as she proudly showed us her clothing choice choice -- her "we do chicken right" orange t-shirt!!!
Daughter, mind you!!!
BA-BAM!!!

Anderson at Hunt Meadows, a huge Gamecock fan was his teacher. After the game that year, I went by the school office and asked them to play a song over the speaker in her room........Tiger Rag!! Only in small town would they grant such a request.....

beating the Chickens again for the sake of the children. My daughter was about 9 or 10 at the time and some sort of discussion came up between her and some other kids about the impending Clemson-Carolina game, and one of the Carolina kids, oblivious to the history of the series, scoffed at my daughter's hope it would be a good game by saying,"We always beat Clemson...", and at first I wanted to laugh, but then it dawned on me that for a lot of kids who haven't been explained the history of the series, they pretty much right now can say that and be telling the truth.
