Funny IPTAY Story

On a whim called IPTAY office and got I think the receptionist. I told her I heard about the 100 point initiative and that I wanted to become a new IPTAY member and get my 100 points. She said those were for 2020 donors only, I said it is 2020, she said something about fiscal year.

I said I have money I want to donate to IPTAY and you are going to refuse my money, she said no I could give them the money, but I wouldn't accumulate priority points for 2020. Great strategy they have there, turning down new members. I let them know I would just donate more money to the one of the Colleges/Schools within the University, they offer box seating anyway. She didn't have a response to that.

Fiscal year, not calendar year

The University runs on a fiscal year that ends on June 30.
So the 2020 fiscal year ended at the end of June. They are
in the 2021 fiscal year now, and that began on July 1st. So
yesterday when you called, you were talking calendar year, and
she was talking fiscal year.
