Not going to argue about how professional advice is used to inform, make, justify, or hide decisions, depending on what is needed at the time. And we don't know who said what to who in making this decision. Neither of us can claim to know. But consider this:
Players testing positive on a Friday is apparently not an unknown thing, for which there is a protocol, which Clemson followed. Per league covid rules, the game could have been played. And then Clemson offered testing today to seal the deal, eliminating the question. Given all that:
FSU is ranked 6th. Clemson is ranked 9th. The above happens. Does FSU play? You bet your a$$.
This wasn't about covid or doctors. Things rarely are.
