Expectations

A week ago I posted that this basketball team would be lucky to get to 10 wins total. They have certainly overperformed the last 2 games to my delightful surprise. Going into this year those few of us that actually follow and care about basketball thought we would struggle to break even for the year. Those "casual " fans that only come on to complain about Coach Brownell probably now expect an NCAA birth or will call for his head again. I caution that expecting that from this team is not impossible but is still a reach.I do however think that just maybe a 16 or 17 win season is within reach and with it an NIT berth. A lot of people on this board tend to make light of the NIT but for this Clemson team that would be a MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENT and grounds for Coach Brownell being Coach of the Year. A start would certainly be a win today in an arena ( and a team) that won 2 games from us in ridiculous fashion a year ago.Exorcise the PNC demons today. GO TIGERS !
