Eli

Anyone remember the band Eli?

They had a guy that looked like Jimmy Hendrix and could play Purple Haze.

If I remember right, they played in the amphitheater in 1976 or 77. I remember they were good but I was more interested in picking up girls rather than critiquing the band.

However, I didn't have much luck as usual. I never could figure that out being the handsome devil that I am :).

I remember them from the late 70's; they used to play

at The Electric Warehouse in Greenville. Don't remember the Hendrix look-alike, but they were a really good club cover band back in the day. Opened for KISS for a while if memory serves.

From 2010, with the original singer and guitar player still hanging in there:

Correct, that's where I first saw them... at the Electric Warehouse in the late 70s. And in the early 80s I worked for Amoco in Bainbridge GA, and they played clubs all around in that area. I think they were from Tallahassee.
