Do what you want with your money, but a team that lost 62-17 to Clemson, lost their best player in the last 10-15 years, and and now comes in as the Tigers may be ramping things up for the meat of their schedule would not be where I would be placing bets.
If you bet on it you would likely be hoping for Clemson to look ahead or for a backdoor cover.
There are several TNetters who specialize in the backdoor cover and you will need to see them for more information on how much money to put down for that.

I am always hesitant with a back door cover against our tigers. We play too much depth to ever feel comfortable with it

But anytime you get those kind of lines with Clemson it's just a question of what will happen when the starters come out. We could be up 42-7 at the end of 3, give up a TD in the 4th with all of the reserves in, and fail to cover at 42-14. Given the lack of production we've seen from the backups the first two games, i wouldn't really want to rely on them having to hold onto or pad a big lead to hit that number.
The half point is a pretty big deal here. I think i would lean UVA +28.5. I would feel quite a bit better about taking Clemson at -27.5.

than covering the point spread.
As is the case with most teams, big leads are likely going to erode with back-ups in the game.

The question becomes, at what point does Dabo feel the opponent is worthy enough for him to let the backups actually run the full offense and turn them loose.
We covered the spread more last season against better opponents because they let Chase Brice go in and keep pushing the ball down the field late in games.
The first two opponents were so outmatched (and Dabo respects their coaches) so the team put handcuffs on in the second half. I'm guessing he won't keep doing that as the opponents get better.

when you bet 4+ TD spreads (on either side).
The same thing basically happened in the Bama game. They could have won that game by 40+ but pulled the starters, gave up some garbage time TDs, and "only" won 38-19.

62 to 17... less than a year ago. The biggest difference between then and now is that we have a much better defense and UVA doesn't have their biggest playmaker (Bryce Perkins) from last year and is playing a QB with only one game under his belt. The only reason we won't plow UVA by more than 30 points is if Dabo decides to pull our starters before half or our 3rd string defense allows UVA to score a couple of times in the 4th quarter.
