.... for Simmons this morning. Mike and Trey spent the better part of one segment talking about how he wowed everybody at the compound with his speed and athleticism.
But, we already knew that anyway, didn't we?
As a Nole, I can tell you the comparisons to Derwin James are spot on. Golic and Wingo were talking about it. And, rightfully so, they said that Simmons is taller, stronger and faster.
Barring injury, he's going to be a long time pro-bowler.

His athleticism is off the charts. I wonder if the talking heads have heard him in an interview. One the NFL coaches interview him, he's going to (I think) have teams doing everything they can to get him on their team.

Most folks are saying he has or will move up to being the second defender taken. "He won't be picked before Chase Young." Everybody loves Young because of the position he plays - edge rusher.
As the draft gets nearer, after pro-days and more in depth interviews, it would not surprise me to see Simmons picked before Young. Probably wont' happen. But, probably should.

Guys like Simmons aren’t available every year. He can do so much on defense. He will be very valuable to the right DC.
