Difference between Dabo and Brad
Feb 21, 2017, 9:22 PM
|
|
Announcer said they asked Brad before the game if he or the team talks about getting into the NCAA tournament. His answer, no, but it is the elephant in the room. What would Dabo do? " yeah we talk about, we embrace it, it's what fuels us. Run through the target not run from it".
That's the bottom line. Brad doesn't know how to motivate players and close out games.
Just my opinion. What do you think?

Geno Auriema said if we lose one game we had an awful season. Brad Brownell definitely does not aspire to the level of greatness Dabo or Geno aspires to.

He's not very enthusiastic in the huddle that's for sure. He's a great guy but his failure to recruit at the big position s down low are showing up this year. The fact we have Sitti as a starter says all

I didn't hear Dabo talking about Nattys's when he was 6-7

he talked about "changing the culture" at Clemson...
Brownell is talking that same talk,
but he's soft-pedaling it because these are kids
who are simply having a tough time making the plays necessary to win.

How does coach K treat kids? They will not be emotionally traumatized if the coach blows a gasket a time or 20 during a game.

They are different people They coach different sports They have different levels of talent, support, tradition, culture, history, expectations, fans knowledge, etc. etc.
Stop comparing basketball to football.
It's like comparing Trump to ethics, or facts, or knowledge or realism or other Presidents, statesmen, heroes, leaders, humans, Or comparing him to Putin (oops)

You are an angry little man aren't you? Do you ever post anything positive? If so, I have yet to see it. This is the Clemson sports board. There is a board for political discussions and rants if you look under General Boards. There are plenty of people there that will engage you with politics. Careful though, it is a bipartisan board.

Dabo's mantra is one game at a time. "You can't win 12, until you win 11"...
They have goals, but they don't talk about the postseason or look ahead. ONE GAME AT A TIME.
Quit trying to compare things that shouldn't be compared...but if you're gonna do it, at least use an accurate comparison.

I'm no BB fan, but CDS REPEATEDLY says the only focus is "on winning the next game. If they keep doing that, the championships (state, ACC) and playoffs will take care of themselves."
I'm not sure how you missed that - he repeats it almost weekly during the FB season, but if your goal is to make stuff up to 'throw shade' on BB, I suppose you were successful... again, I'm no BB supporter. He has recruited well enough to make the tournament.
Dabo's players know fundamentals like how to tackle, block, avoid turnovers and create turnovers. Brad's players do not know how to defend and hit free throws... DEVELOPMENT AND FUNDAMENTALS.
