Didn’t see #11 in as much as I thought

Oct 12, 2020, 8:17 AM

The defensive scheme was unbelievable. Didn’t have as many 4-3... I am guessing that is why Bresee was not in as much? (That and Tyler was back I guess?)

Tyler is a huge part of this DLine. Just his presence plugs

Seemed like he was getting double teamed on every play I noticed him.

Is there a good place to go for snap count per player?***

Bresee was definitely in the game quite a bit and his

presence was felt on every play whether he was in on the tackle or not. Bresee was soaking up a lot of double teams just like Tyler. When O-lines have to double team guys that is a good thing - means that the linebackers and other rushers have less obstruction to get to the QB/runner. I gotta feeling Bresee is going to get a lot of double teaming going forward and his stats may suffer because of it but make no mistake - his presence on the field will be a key factor in our defense shutting opposing teams down.

Snap count was in the teens

If I was guessing.. trying to find a place to confirm. No doubt he is a bad man and deserves double.

He finally got to be treated like a freshman a little and come off the field for a breather and to let himself get refocused.

He did still play a good percentage of the plays, but Miami didn't run very many plays.

I mentioned last week that Tyler Davis coming back was huge because we could let he and Bresee get a few plays off here and there to make sure they are playing at 100%.

Bresee got winded a lot during the UVA game but he had to stay on the field because he was sooo much better than the next option.

The reason Bresee got less snaps this week is the fact we played largely a 3-man front with Phillips in as a 5th DB for the vast majority of the game. All the DTs got fewer snaps.
