I had a buddy in college that loved The Doors. Our other friends were pretty "bla" about them.
We passed out drunk at his apartment, I guess with WinAmp playing a bunch of Doors.
We were awoken by insane yelling from Celebration of the Lizard King. Bout scared us to death. Very disorienting. A very "### IS GOING ONNN??????" type moment.

He didn't chitter chatter with the audience, just played music but still put on a great show. Van is sort of known to be headstrong and opinionated, but I wouldn't say he's a jerk in the strictest sense. He's also not exactly a loveable teddy bear either, but he's way down the scale of jerk artists.
One of our bucket list items is to travel to Carrickfergus just outside Belfast to where my family came from on Mom's side, and take in a Van Morrison dinner & show at the Europa Hotel in Belfast. He does week-long residencies there in a 300 seat ballroom.

in some of his youtube stuff, he seems kind of like a prick to the stage people, etc.. Just doesnt seem very personable.
I was drunk and high too. So who knows what I was really thinking.
