makes perfect sense

Dec 3, 2014, 5:49 PM

UF, FSU, UGA, SCU, and AU should be able to recruit a kid that is committed to Clemson

but SMU shouldn't not communicate with a kid that Clemson is recruiting

I think most people are disappointed that it's one of our own that is trying to take him from our benifits. I on the other hand don't blame him. You have to do whats necessary to win... Even if it's competing over a former school for recruits.

2 years?

Well, Clemson is recruiting that kid, and I used to be there, so we need to wait at least 3 years before talking to anyone their talking too.

I'm sure SMU had recruiting going on long before Morris was announced.

Dec 3, 2014, 6:02 PM [ in reply to people that say that do not make any sense.. so what's the ]

Bottom line is if you don't recruit, you don't win and you eventually get fired. Morris has every right to go after a kid as soon as he steps on another campus no matter where he came from. But just for the fun of it. How much resources, money and time did Clemson put into the recruitment of said Kid? I'm sure Dabo told Morris he didn't mind and probably gave him a going away gift on letting him have a shot at the recruit.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Why does it matter?

Dec 3, 2014, 6:15 PM

The kid is a 2016 OL recruit from Florida that pretty much everyone in the nation has offered. Chad has to start all over at SMU (all the way across the country with an 0-12 team in a terrible conference).

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Unless I missed something, he has not committed to Clemson.

Dec 3, 2014, 5:58 PM [ in reply to Re: makes perfect sense ]

So, how is Chad taking him from our benefit? The kid has like 40 offers.

Didn't Mike Reed flip a recruit from NC State?

Dec 3, 2014, 6:01 PM

I can't remember but I doubt anyone was complaining if he did.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

2 Recruits maybe 3

Dec 3, 2014, 6:09 PM

definitely Marcus Edmond and Ky Priester. Maybe Wiggins, not sure if he was committed to UNC or Nc State.

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

you don't have the stomach for it, you might want to stick to HS football.

Some of you crybabies really make the Clemson fan base seem like a bunch of losers. Your Tiger Rag is not for your tears or to blow your noses...it's for smacking coots in the face after we run them out of DV! Now get over CM recruiting our players and let Clemson speak for itself.

Not sure what that meant, and probably don't want to.

Dec 3, 2014, 6:14 PM

If the comment was in support of playing big boy football and shutting up the crybabies, then yes, send it to 2012.
