I doubt it.

Jan 15, 2021, 1:11 PM

Played the Music Farm a few times (I always missed them). And both Son Volt and Wilco played the same WaveFest right after the split. I've seen both multiple times in Charleston.

So maybe I am just thinking of festival posters or somesuch.

Jan 15, 2021, 1:15 PM

Or maybe I just have random gaps and singe marks in my brain cells due to age and various activities of celebration.

Was probably Uncle Mingo.***

Seems like they were a regular on the TDs/TTT/Backstreets rotation.

I don't think Mingo played much in Clemson.

Jan 15, 2021, 1:35 PM [ in reply to You mean Uncle Mingo right? ]

Mookie, Bryon and Boots are all big USC fans..I doubt they'd come to Clemson unless they had to.

I don't remember them playing there much. I remember like once at TDs..maybe?

Well can't say for sure but Hootie played in Clemson on the

reg and they were all USC fans/students/whatever. I mean I think most of those bands would have gone anywhere that paid them $200 + free beer, which I assume was the going rate.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Its a 4+ hr ride for Mingo

Jan 15, 2021, 3:03 PM

Hootie was only 2.

I remember seeing Hootie on top of two pool tables in TTT. They played two nights, and the second night we went to TD's and bought another pitcher of beer with the $3 cover.

I used to see Bryon from Mingo around a lot, back when we had live music. Next time I see him, I'll ask how much they played in Clemson.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Tupelo Honey played, saw them a few times.

Jan 15, 2021, 1:27 PM

I honestly don't 'member if Uncle Tupelo was in Clemson or not. No, wait, that was Sourwood Honey, at Backstreets. Both of those honeys are friggin' delicious. 1a and 1b. Tupelo Honey probably isn't a band.

Anyway, what were we talking about?

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-15yr.jpgbadge-ringofhonor-19b.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I saw John Mayer play in the courtyard outside Harcombe

Jan 15, 2021, 1:33 PM

Is that the same?
