Defensive front four

Dec 1, 2019, 7:36 AM

Question for you guys that actually watch our defensive front four during the games. Are we progressing/developing well with our current group and hows our depth looking? LSU and OSU are right around the corner...

I think we progressed a good bit since week 1. Foster, Rudolph, here really impressed me in recent weeks. Not a dominant line but getting better each week and with newcomers coming in next year. This should be our strength in the next few seasons, on that side of the ball. Thomas is a stud but still is growing before the light clicks on.

Do not overlook UVA and the ACC Championship Game on 12/7. We need to corral B. Perkins from the start and get after the Virginia Cavaliers. Dabo must insure that the Tiger team is up for this ball game.
After that, the CFP aura will motivate this Clemson team.

Perkins better keep his head on a swivel and watch for

Simmons. He will be QB spy and can close on Perkins a lot faster than any other LB he's seen all year. UVa will get some yards on the D, but if they do it running Perkins primarily they will be some painful, hard fought yards with him taking a beating which I'm not sure their coaching staff wants to do.

It’s not a strength presently. Thank goodness for Tyler Davis. XT will hopefully come alive in the playoffs. Logan Rudolph has played well.
