Death Valley was also kinda of dead yesterday.

Sep 11, 2016, 9:34 AM

As Troy pounded down the field on the way to TD's the Valley was quite as a church mouse. I can only remember one other game like that--Maryland 2008 where we quietly let the Terps go down the field and beat us.

Not sure if it was the heat or what but many were sitting on their butts and not bringing the noise. JMHO.

Heat combined with a Tiger team being flattened

Sep 11, 2016, 9:40 AM

to everyone's shock. Most could not understand or believe this Troy team was capable of beating us. As Dabo stated, they played good enough to win(though they made tons of mistakes, poor snaps on punt & FG, penalties) and we played poorly enough to lose. It was simply shock. We couldn't have stopped a tabernacle choir on the last 2 drives. Quite pathetic, although it was our 2nd/3rd string but they couldn't slow them down at all.

It was dead nearly all day, exception of Renfrow TD grab which was beautiful and Ray Ray return which ended up being null and void ??

I was there and I would agree. The atmosphere was very strange. I think most people were hoping to be there for a half and then escape the heat with a big lead. As the game drug on the energy went with it. After the Ray-Ray play most of the people around me got really testy and spent most of their energy being negative.

Good point, but sad.... 7 games per year

Sep 11, 2016, 9:56 AM

Suck it up buttercups lol. I was there, good crowd as far as numbers, but it was flat. It was as if we matched the teams effort which was poor. It was absolutely scorching though!!

7 games, rain/sun/snow/sleet we gotta support our Tigers!!

Multiple reasons...

1 - The weather was ridiculously hot, especially in the stadium

2 - The Offense looked out of synch most of the day

3 - The incompetent Refs caused the game to drag through their poor/slow management of the game

When you add all of these together you get a "dead crowd"...

BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!, Welcome to Clemson's new burgeoning fan base. Probably going to give that wine and cheese crowd a run for their money.

I am betting many walked away with a bad case of heat stress. I am glad the weather should be better next weekend. Stay hydrated folks......and I mean with water. ;)

I was off my game because I didn't know Chick-Fil-A is now closed on game days and I couldn't get my traditional pregame sandwich on the way to the stadium.
