If you make over $150K/year (like the persons spouse in this article), if they get let go due to covid, how long will it take to replace a >=$150K/year job? They could get lucky and have one waiting, or it might take 18 months of living on the other spouses $50K/year.
And the gubmint was guided by what someone made up to 2 years ago, so they could have already been a poor by the time the stimulus came out.

Crazy thing about that place is somebody paid more than I was going to for it. Put a proper shower in the master bed and painted, then was able to find yet another sucker to pay even more.
