They just look booked. They do that so people can't get into the hotels yet. Charlotte is booked on the Hilton site too for 12/7, but they open up later. Or at least that is what I have seen. The IHG properties show booked too, but they aren't. I think they wait until the schedule comes out and then raise rates. I think the only things that are really booked are for 8/29 and 9/7.

What makes you say that? Most hotel sites won't even let you book that far out yet. For example, Marriott only allows dates up to Jan 3, 2020.

It’s New Orleans. Mardi Gras season began January 6th this year in New Orleans - that’s when the first parade began. New Orleans has two months of parades for Mardi Gras. So the hotels might be booked for some of that as well.

Mardi Gras parades begin in mid-Feb. of 2020. Mardi Gras Day (Fat Tuesday) is Feb. 25th.

I’ve lived in Louisiana most of my life. Mardi Gras In New Orleans begins very early. First parade this year was January 6th. Mardi Gras day isn’t until March 5th. Mardi Gras is even earlier next year.

I doubt ALL the Hilton places in NOLA are already booked. They may have released a few, but not all of them.
